notes: firstly, apologies to
aya_rheign! i feel horrible because you had a lovely prompt and somehow i couldn't put the whole thing together. real life was also in the way so i apologize. :( anyway, these are a SET of drabbles. basically since i couldn't weave the scenes together, they will be written as a drabble (i am apologizing now if that's not your thing ;__;). each drabble is considered to be a very short chapter. this is by no means done, but i thought it was rude to keep you waiting, especially since march is long over. i do hope that you can manage to enjoy this because i really want it to work. :(

no beta; not mine. on other things, i will get unlazy to press the shift key soon.

the five of them sat on a large round table; various plates filled with different chinese dished filled the table. nino said ohno should go first and ohno didn't need anymore motivation after that. he helped himself to a generous serving of a noodle dish that had a name too long to remember. it was delicious though.

pretty soon, the rest were helping themselves as well, and the table was soon lively with sounds of china bumping into china and lively conversation. aiba was talking to sho and nino about his current weight ("i gain weight easily, you know that right?" is what he says) while jun was discussing the food with ohno.

several plates later, arashi was full. all that was left was dessert. they were given fortune cookies. nino snorted at his--it said something about love, and he honestly didn't care about that; aiba wanted to see everyone else's fortune; ohno's said something about taking time off. oddly enough, jun and sho's fortunes said the same thing.

"look at life in a different perspective."

jun woke up to an unknown ringing sound. he spent a few moments looking for its source, and he found it under his pillow. it was sho's mobile phone. jun thought that maybe sho left it in jun's car on the way home last night and jun mistook it for his own.

he told himself to return it to sho later today.

the clock--wait, was he in sho's place? did he sleep over last night without remembering it?--on the bedside table told him it was still early, he can take his time with breakfast and a shower. the moment it dawned on him that he was at sho's place, jun wondered where sho was. the place looked empty though. thinking that sho might have had an early start to his day, jun shrugged and went to the kitchen.

halfway there, he stopped and realized his bladder was full. that was okay, he could manage a quick stop to the bathro--was that sho? jun went back on his steps and started to call out sho's name when he realized something.

he was looking at a mirror.

"this happens in movies all the time, right?" sho paced around his living room and jun watched him from a chair. "we can undo this right?"

"we don't even know what happened," jun pointed out in his seat. it was obvious he was frustrated with their current situation as well.

"maybe we were cursed?"

"by who?"

--

"nino?"

"matsujun?" nino's groggy voice came from the other end of the line. "give me a break, it's four in the morning!"

"this is important!" sho insisted. jun was listening in as well, such that the phone was in between the two of them. "look, i know you've been into into this magic thing lately but you know, does it actually work?"

"of course they work."

"but you only do card tricks right? nothing else?"

jun noticed at this point that his voice turned annoyingly squeaky when he was hysterical.

"i'm trying out new things--"

"what?" sho said so suddenly and jun gave him a pointed look. just moments ago they agreed to take things calmly and they weren't supposed to give away anything about their current situation. "i mean, what other things?"

"like simple magic tricks. making things disappear..."

"or switch places?"

"i guess you'll have to stay over!"

sho watched himself, leaning on the counter with a nonchalant glance. for a moment he thought he misheard him, but his eyes--sho knew when he looked serious--confirmed that he heard right.

"i do?"

"well, you were quite lost when my manager called you and i think it's best if we stick together a lot." jun said cooly, looking around the kitchen but never meeting sho's eyes. "to figure out how to solve this situation, i mean."

sho felt himself smile (really really smile, he's had a tough day), and he agreed.

they now had an irreplaceable sense of comfort after trading bodies and both deemed that it was okay to share a bed. sho placed a row of pillows between them, just because he can ("it's weird, you know! i have to put these between us!" sho cried out and jun muttered that sho acts like such a girl sometimes). in the morning, jun found their legs tangled together, his own face sleeping soundly in front of him. the pillows sho meticulously placed between them were all on the floor.

how jun did it, sho could not understand, but the former made sho look cute. sho knew how to act cute, though he never thought he actually succeeded. jun, on the other hand, did it quite well.

"are you all right matsujun?"

aiba had to say it thrice to get sho's attention away from his own face, and at the third time, when he finally stopped looking so intensely at sho, he realized that the whole studio was looking expectedly at him.

"o-ohno-kun's fly is open." sho said, feeling quite stupid but grateful at the same time. ohno muttered a soft curse before zipping up; nino was cracking up beside him. aiba delivered a gentle tap on jun's head and jun--oh jun, looking at sho with sho's half amused, half curious look--gave a small smile.

sho felt his heartbeat quicken and he scolded himself for actually thinking that jun--in his body--was cute. all the while he thought jun was the narcisstic one between the two of them.
