Omg, how do you write so beautifully. T____T Your imagery is so BREATHTAKING, washed in these colours and metaphors that just bleeds, BLEEDS this tender, wistful love. I wish. I wish I could properly express how reading this makes me feel. Like, what Merlin is in Arthur's heart and eyes is just. There's desperation there, definitely, but instead of it being unleashed on to the world it's causing aching crevices inside, a slow, uncontrollable yet restrained burn of falling deeper and deeper into love.

AAHHH. OMG. aslkfjlkasjf KEYSMASH FOREVER. I just loved it, okay, how all the sadness and love were intertwined and how that was life, real and raw and something Arthur wouldn't trade for the world and Merlin, Merlin Merlin MERLIN, how it has become impossible for him to walk back into that. :')

Wow, this is really beautiful. The language flows so nicely together into this bittersweet prose that just makes you ache for them to just be. I like the allusion, the barest hint you give to the legends. Gorgeous piece of writing.
