Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith. I preferred it to the country version.

I like the Aerosmith version, I don't think I know the original.

Mark Chestnut I think. I love Country but it was too twangy and not enough of the rock sound I think.

Also "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. The Dolly Parton version doesn't have enough emotional belting it out for me.

Mark Chestnut came before Aeorosmith? I didn't know that.

OMG yes!! When I saw the Bodyguard in theaters I ran out and bought the soundtrack for that song. And then years later I heard the original and just doesn't do it justice.

All Along the Watchtower is sooo much better by Jimi Hendrix than Bob Dylan, and it isn't BD's voice, it's just that his version is bland.

Even Lou Reed thinks so Lou Reed himself described it as "the best and most authentic version I have ever heard".

That is so cool. And yes, the Cowboy Junkies version if the best. Personally, I would also argue that their version of Thunder Road is better than Springsteen's.

(Also, can I just tell you how gleeful finding another lj who likes TVD, Legend of the Seeker, Castle, AND In Plain Sight makes me?)
