Ok, I swear I'll think of a NEW topic for tutorial icons. Just not yet!
So here's a tutorial for a nice bluish coloring. Probably works best on images with a red or orange tone.
Going from
to
1. Prepare you base as needed.
2. Duplicate the base. Use color balance to give a more orange tone to the duplicate and set to screen, 84%
3. Duplicate the base again, drag to top and set to soft light, 20%
4. Fill a new layer with #0B1133 and set to exclusion, 100%
5. Fill another new layer with #96CFF6. Set to burn, 52%
6. Create a Curves adjustment layer.
Settings:
Red channel
Point 1: I:88 O:55
Point 2: I:183 O:186
7. Add this texture (by
peachinparis) and set to softlight, 100%
8. Duplicate the base again and bring to the top. Set to soft light, 34%
9. Add this brush (by
iiokua) in white. For mine, I obviously flipped it horizontally. I then added a 1 pixel border brush, also in white.
10. I added a text brush. Add anything else you'd like and you're done :) If anyone want the text brush I used, feel free to ask.
