And in the long run, it helped crystallize the acknowledgement that he does suffer from a unique disorder. There isn't a way to describe it in mechanics, but it's a culmination of being murdered, what he went through while dead, coming back, the three Veils of the Visus, the lethal cloak-and-dagger stalking, the humiliation that his Order put him through, the knowledge of how many people who've loved him in their way dead because of him, the secrets he has to keep forever, topped with the sheer disregard of his "peers" to recognize and honor his sacrifices....
Survivor's Guilt + PTSD + Pride + Envy + Horror = Wordsworth Syndrome, maybe.
