Being gay brings sadness

So, why is it that I have to go back to feeling bad (and even guilty) over the fact that am gay and nothing can change it....well I say nothing humane, because there's always the electroshock or something crazy like that

on an equal note, what are you sacrificing if you don't express your sexuality?

peace of mind and not being constantly paranoid/worried over being outed can be just as jarring.

this is selfish, but selfish does not have to be seen in a negative light. selfish is also self-preservation, as you state you wish to be.

i spoke with an alumnus of my college last week who related the story of a coworker who kept closeted no matter what. in the end, it affected his mind so much that he was slacking in work, and had cost him several advancements in his career.
