You capture the beautiful sadness I saw on Ratchet's face at the end of the eppy when he agreed to work with Megatron...A fatal hopefulness that drives him...to what end we will see. Very well done!!

Thanks! I really enjoyed the A-plot of that episode: instead of the usual attempt to force the hero to do something he doesn't want to do, it's all about persuading him to do something he really does want to do against his better judgment. And the animators did a fantastic job with the little cues - there's a hitch in Ratchet's demeanor when Megatron first brings up using Synth-En that just sells the fact that, from there on out, it's himself he's primarily resisting, not his adversary. It also occurred to me that this is consistent with Ratchet's status as one of Team Prime's older characters; the loss of Cybertron resonates more heavily with him because he has a longer history there.

Glad you liked it. I was a bit dubious about writing and posting in such haste; I have a feeling I may still come back a week from now and tweak a word here and a word there ...
