I don't think I've ever wanted to quit my job more than I do right now.

Just sayin.

Based on previous entries, that is saying quite a bit! Good luck!

Thanks! I guess in comparison, today isn't even THAT bad. Just that my boss called AND texted me at 11:51 asking where I was because he needed to talk to me. Um, I was at lunch (a little bit early so that I wouldn't be late for the 1:00 meeting that he wound up canceling at 12:20.) What was so important that I needed to get back to talk about? Oh, he was just asking if I was on time today, because he wasn't here when I got here and his wife had left to make a phone call, so wasn't available to spy on me.

I am not paid enough to deal with this shit.

You should email him every day when you get in the office. I had an evil boss that made me do that. It was really annoying, until I figured out how to set my email to auto-send every day...

Ha. I've thought about keeping track of like, when I get there and when I leave. To the minute. Including lunch breaks. Bathroom breaks. Everything. But it would appear he's already doing that, so oh well.

And I am assuming that there are no new leads at the moment?

I've found a couple things that I'm gonna apply to. I hope that whatever happens happens fast.

I hear ya, sister. I sent this email to my recent ex-boss and my new boss on Friday:

On Tuesday I have an appointment at 11:40. It’s during lunchtime and I
should only be gone an hour, but I wanted to let you know just in
case. In addition, I will be going to ICC at 3:00. I’m assuming I will
be there for at least 2 hours. If you need to reach me, my cell is blah blah...

and my recent ex-boss writes back this:

Not a problem and thank you for the communication. Please let
everyone know when you will be making up the missed 30 minutes from
your appointment and leave a note on your computer screen indicating
you are out and when you will be back.

SRSLY?! F OFF!!!

What is WRONG with these people?!?!? Do they think we're children??! During my meeting with HR, my boss was all "This is ridiculous that I have to keep track of you." WELL THEN DON'T KEEP TRACK OF ME. IF I AM FIVE MINUTES LATE, THE WORLD WILL NOT END! Ugh.

Right! My boss is gonna be so screwed when I leave and he can't find anyone to replace me. This is all just retarded. Why does the world have to be run by such idiots??

:(

Is he getting crazier?

He is indeed. He straight up told me that he is going to fire me if I don't go to a doctor. Even though he knows he can't do that. But that if I found a different job at Vanderbilt, he'd write me a good recommendation, and that we could part on good terms. BUT I just realized that because he's written me up, I can't transfer to another department until my write-up thing expires, which will be in 3 months.

Blah blah just a shitty situation. Stemming completely and totally from the fact that he is an idiot. Bleck.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

What would seeing a doctor achieve, exactly?

NO clue. He claims that he doesn't believe that I can function on such little sleep. Even though I've been doing it for 3 years, and it hasn't been an issue until literally the day he learned about it.

I've told him that I WOULD comply with his stupid request (not in those EXACT words, but ya know) but I can't afford to go to a doctor right now. And that I've signed up to do yoga again, which was another one of his retarded requests.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH. He has literally said, that if I don't go to a doctor, whether going to a doctor actually does anything or not, that he will fire me. So...
