Mexican Indoctrination

Mexican government in our schools.

The only thing worse than being indoctrinated by the liberals in our current school system is being indoctrinated by the Mexican government.

IF YOU CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH, HIRE A PRIVATE TUTOR OR LEAVE!

Could you, by yourself, with an apartment and all of the bills included in being a "grown up" be able to afford a tutor to become fluent in another language within say, a year?

They are in school, they can learn there. There is no reason we need to teach in Spanish. For generations people have been coming to this country and learning English and making a place for themselves. Why does this generation of immigrants need special treatment.

Yes I could afford a tutor. Here's an add for one

It's not that they are getting special treatment, it's the fact that students who study English as a second language are typically far behind their peers in "normal" classes such as history, math, etc. Teaching them English is part of the cirriculum, but in order for the students to continue to learn the information correctly it's in their first language. Many schools teach English as a huge part of the day, and then bilingual teachers teach the history and math. This way students don't fall behind their peers, while still learning English.

It's the same as a deaf student having an interpreter in school with them if they go to a predominately hearing school. It's not "special" treatment, it's the fact that it's one of the few ways for them to keep up with their peers in specific subjects.

How does their inability to speak English justify Mexican text books?
