The fat white snowflakes descended slowly from the grey clouds above. Sehun sighed as he took a sip of his, now cold, hot chocolate. He stared out the kitchen toward the house next door. He didn't keep his gaze on the house for more than ten seconds at a time. He didn't want anyone to see him staring longingly at the window on the second floor.

Just as Sehun was about to turn and head back into the living room to continue playing his video game, a car pulled up in the neighbors driveway. Sehun's breath hitched as the engine shut off and someone got out of the car.

Sehun waited, hoping it was the person he wanted to see most get out of the vehicle.

Sehun was glued to the spot as he watched in anticipation. It took a couple more seconds before the person opened the door and got out of the car. Sehun's heart began to race as he saw it definitely was ther person he was waiting for. Yixing.

Sehun's utterly in love with Yixing, his neighbor.

Sehun watched Yixing grab his backpack from the backseat before heading towards the back door. Sehun held his breath waiting for Yixing to look over at him.

But that never happened. Yixing entered the house without even a sideways glance in the direction of Sehun's house.

Sehun set his cup down angrily into the sink and stomped back into the living room. He picked up his controller and started slamming the buttons down harshly killing everything on the screen.

Sehun didn't know how long he sat there playing the game but it must've been a long time. When Sehun finally put the game controller down the sun had already sunk below the horizon. Sehun sighed and threw his head back against the back of the couch. He let out a big whoosh of air and lets his eyes shut. That's how he fell asleep.

-

A knock on the door startled Sehun awake. It took him a few moments to clear his vision and get up from the couch. "Who is it?" Sehun asked groggily moving towards the front door.

"Yixing,"

Sehun stopped walking and froze. Why was Yixing at the door? Sehun composed himself and went to open the door.

"What's up?" Sehun asked opening the door wide.

Yixing looked at Sehun for a moment. "My power went out, do you mind if I chill here for a few hours?"

Sehun's heart pounded in his chest, he was almost sure Yixing would be able to hear it.

"Uh, sure," Sehun answered after an awkward silence.

"Thanks," Yixing pushed past Sehun into the living room before crashing down onto the couch where Sehun had just been sitting.

"So..." Sehun walked over to his couch and sat down. "Why did your power go off and not mine?"

Yixing shrugged. "The wiring is terrible at my place,"

They descened into an awkward silence. Sehun's heart was still racing and showing no signs to slow down anytime soon. Why would it with the person he thinks about every hour of every day sitting next to him?

"How have you been Sehun?" Yixing asked trying to make conversation, at least that was what Sehun figured.

Sehun thought about Yixing's question. It had been over a month since they last time they had spoken to each other and Sehun didn't want Yixing to think he was boring. "I've been pretty good. College is stressing me out though."

Yixing nodded. "I know just what you mean. Thank god I'm done after one more semester."

"You're lucky. I still have three years left of this torture."

Yixing smiled. "It's your first semester right now. Trust me, it gets a little easier each time." Yixing smiled brightly and Sehun's heart fluttered.

"Can I tell you something?" Sehun didn't look at Yixing. "Something I've wanted to tell you for a while now?"

"Sure," Yixing sounded curious which made Sehun even more nervous at what he was about to say.

Sehun took a deep breath. "I--I," he paused and looked down at the carpeted floor. He couldn't do it. He couldn't tell Yixing he had feeling for him. What if Yixing was disgusted and never spoke to him again?

"Sehun," Yixing said, voice as soft as the falling snow outside. "I like you too," Yixing softly placed his hand on Sehun's cheek.

Sehun's eyes slid from the carpet up to meet Yixing's. "R-really?"

Yixing nodded.

The two stared at each other for a moment before Yixing made his move.

Sehun's heart was doing flips in his chest now but it was the most pleasant feeling he had ever felt. As Yixing moved closer Sehun knew that there wasn't anything else in the world he wanted. He wanted only Yixing.

Their lips brushed softly, sweetly, almost too innocent for Sehun. Yixing was gentle, his lips moving slightly against Sehun's. It was only after a moment did he deepen the kiss.

Sehun's hands acted of their own accord, one touching Yixing's cheek and the other carding through Yixing's hair. Yixing's own hands were around Sehun's middle pulling him closer but not quite close enough.

Sehun kissed Yixing back with all the pent up feelings he had built up over the years. The kiss was better than Sehun had always imagined and he didn't want it to end ever. He needed Yixing.

Yixing and Sehun pulled away at the same time and stared at each other.

"Wow," Yixing said breathlessly. "That was so much better than I ever imagined."

Sehun smiled, "I was just thinking the same thing,"

Yixing kissed him again.

-

The next morning Sehun woke up on the couch with a blanket over him. There was a note on the coffee table. Sehun reached for it without thinking.

Sehun, last night was something I had looked forward to for a long time. When you wake up come over to my place. It's time we stopped pretending.

Sehun read the note at least ten times. He wasn't sure what Yixing was saying but it didn't matter. As long as Sehun could be with Yixing nothing mattered.

Sehun sprung off the couch and ran up to his room to shower before he headed off to Yixing's to start something he had been waiting for forever.

Fin.
