I guess get as many opinions from differing places as you can, see who has the best track records and see what is said more: do it or not to do it. :/ *hugs forever*

Aaaarrrgghhhh!!! Medical problems suck hard. Especially when the doctors say contradictory things. Ask for a third opinion? In the meanwhile, what does the Internet says about it? Not that I think it gives good advice, but you can't have too much information.

Well, he only heard about it, he didn't come look personally, correct? It's possible he misunderstood something. Hm...wait, if you are supposed to rest and not move around...when are you supposed to start the PT? Maybe he misunderstood that to mean the Orthopedist had recommended you start immediately and was all, "No, you must let the healing start first!"

However, a third opinion couldn't hurt...and may save you a lot of pain and anguish down the road.
