TFR will never get boring. I eagerly await updates and even though I'll be sailing to Bermuda next week, I know I'm going to go online to check for updates.
By the way, when you were writing Lucius as a sexy beast, did Jason Isaacs provide any inspiration?
Yes. I saw CoS the movie before I read the book, so I admit, I have a very hard time separating Jason Isaacs from Lucius in my head. Jason Isaacs is mad sexy, don't you agree. Yummy. But Lucius is still a badass, regardless of who plays him; he was just sort of pulling all these strings in OotP and he seemed so...cool. Even if he is evil and nasty and just all around bad.
I think he's so much more interesting than Draco, frankly.
Dick Cheney as....Voldemort....gasp...picks self up off of floor....oh, god, you kill me.
Anyway, yes! Please write a Lucius fic. You know, I have been toying with doing one as well. I have a friend who is a huge Lucius/Isaacs fan and I was going to make it all about him seducing an OOF character. lol You're right, Lucius is loads more interesting than Draco...pffbt.
Ahhh....Luscious....I mean, LuciusnecdivaJuly 10 2004, 13:55:12 UTC
The plot bunny is EVIL, I tell you. In the very best sense. Holy crap, I fell out of my chair when I read it, and I just had to go with it. I've already written the first chapter and I sent it to my friend--she is most likely going to co-author with me, because she writes Lucius a lot, and I've never written him, and I'm scared to, because, you know, he's Lucius. One does not approach writing such a character lightly.
I am so looking forward to it, though. It'll be my first honest to goodness darkfic, with plenty of angst and lots of sex--really smutty, dom/sub type sex, with the occasional toys--and plenty of twisted sexual mind games. It's definitely not a non-con--Hermione not only goes along with it, she gets into it. Big Time. Heh heh heh. Fortunately, there exists RestrictedSection.org, where I can post these naughty, evil, guilty pleasures.

Oh, that sounds absolutely lovely! Please let me know when you get around to getting it up at the RS. I'm practically frothing at the mouth here to see what you can do with it. I'm sure it'll rock.

You know, you are the first person, I think, to express outright enthusiasm for me writing this. Everyone else's responses have been very measured. Like "well, that's certainly different. I'm sure you can make it work."
Poor people. How can they not see the evil beauty that is Hermione/Lucius?
I should tell you that Ralph Fiennes is still front-runner for Voldemort. *shrugs* ... I think they're idiots, for it. Dick Cheney! But dude, he might mess up the the shooting with the constant heart attacks, we don't have time for that, the kids will just get older damnit! And yes, Luscious, er, Lucius is very sexy, god Jason Isaacs is muy sexalicious, indeed.
Oh yeah, TFR could NEVER get boring, but do like Jo does and just skip over to the interesting stuff. I mean she skips like weeks and sometimes months when there's just redundant crap happening, why not just do that? She spent like what, 6 chapters, between Christmas and June in OotP, just do the same and we'll love you for it too, although she spent another 6 chapters on the whole final battle thing and stuff. Just an idea. :)
