They must be talking about the kind of bizarro democracy where the minority gets to choose the president.

I'm sorry people, McCain lost by a lot, it was decisive. Get over it. Democracy wins.

Living in Portland last night was amazing. Carrying around a "President Obama" sign with a horde of people and screaming my guts out to passersby honking in shared jubilation.. sorry about the red state thing :(

Well, that's the funny thing. Indiana was a blue state in this election, so this guy is just complaining that because his candidate narrowly lost Indiana (and was steamrolled throughout the country) democracy must not have worked. He was probably just bitter (no idea if he was clinging to his guns and religion, though) about it all...hell, he even tied a black ribbon on the tree in front of his house.

Living here was pretty amazing until I saw that sign, actually. I spent the night working at a gas station where the third shift customers are primarily black and it was just a celebration. It left me all tingly.
