A number of people have been lost to the Queensland floods, with many more missing.

But this, this is the most heartbreaking story I've heard so far.

A 13 year old boy, Jordan Rice, and his mother were swept away after Jordan told a rescuer to save his 10 year old brother first. This didn't happen in some rural town, it was in the Central Business ( Read more... )

I'm fine. I'm in Victoria, which has New South Wales in between it and Queensland (where the main floods are).
Even with the floods moving through VIC now, I'm still pretty far away from them. A lot luckier than most.
