I'm worried about finishing my piece of fanart for the fanbook project. I've been thinking about it for weeks but still haven't found an idea I like enough. It's depressing me. I remember the kind of creativity and inspiration I had, say, 10 years ago. Unfortunately it's just not there anymore. I don't know if it's a matter of getting older or if ( Read more... )

You are right, I should try to be more relaxed about it. Worrying about it is probably hurting me more than helping me.

Gracias por tus palabras buenas. ^^

Mmmmm...L in a suit....*drooly*

I've found that with any creative endeavor, the hardest part is getting started. I'm going through the same thing with various projects I'm supposed to be working on; I think everyone does at one point or another. What works best for me is to find a quiet workspace with little or no distraction (i.e. as far away from the computer as humanly possible), turn on some good music and just doodle whatever comes to mind. Also, a long walk in the park with an Ipod never fails to inspire me whenever I'm having trouble coming up with ideas.

I love L in a suit, probably because I know he would never, ever wear one.

Oh yeah, getting started is definitely the hard part. I also run into trouble when I'm about 90-95% done, which is when I start worrying about finishing it, but now's not the time to be worrying about that. ^^;;

Those are some good suggestions, especially the part about getting away from the computer (I have so much trouble with that one). Ah, and music's always great for loosening the creative flow.

Me too ♥

Aww, thank you for the compliment, dear! I worry about if my work is any good so I'm glad that you think so! :)

You're right, taking some time off from thinking about it could help. At the very least it'll help me relax and clear my mind.

*HUGS*
