Last character that I can think of, Tahmik.
Tahmik is the POV character, most of the time, even though the story is primarily about Roz. He's from a little border town, lots of bazaars and markets and trading. His parents run a restaurant (originally a noodle shop, though I don't know if that's staying) and he was a delivery boy for them. He was a mostly normal teenage boy - linger at the inn where the innkeeper's pretty daughter works, goof off with his friends, the usual. He didn't really have any plans for himself aside from the standard grow up, find a nice girl, take over his parents' business. He starts seeing lights in his sleep, though, reds and oranges and golds. Not long after that he stumbles across Roz in an alley, and weird things start happening - lights going out, busy streets/markets going dead silent, things like that. He gets the jeebies and he ends up chasing after Roz, and they both end up on an ~adventure to figure out just what's stalking them (primarily Roz, with Tahmik becoming involved as they go).
Eventually Tahmik starts learning things from Mal, after a general conversation about the lights he keeps seeing in his sleep. They're a type of elemental magic - elemental magic isn't like fae magic, where they're a separate species altogether, or necromancy, which gets passed down through generations - it just pops up where ever it wants to. Tahmik's turns out to be fire-related, and Mal teaches him general magic control and manipulation, like starting little fires and making little fireballs.
As far as appearance goes, he's got the wide, innocent eyes like that doll. His are darker, though - a gold-brown, really. He's a blond (the same color blond in the little pic besides the faces), and he wears his hair in long dreadlocks. The sword isn't his, but he gets the cloak somewhere along the line as he and Roz travel. The shirt and pants are pretty straight-forward. He's not always the brightest bulb, but he's brave and quick to jump up and defend Roz (and his eccentricities). No one gets away with making Roz uncomfortable around him, whether for his powers or for the strange habits he's developed for it. He's a bit mouthy sometimes, but he means well. He doesn't really have anything in particular that he specializes in, but he's charismatic and people generally like him immediately. As far as tropes go, he's probably
the red mage or
the hero or, of course, the Jack of All Trades.
