Hope you don't mind me reading - I read Greg's friends page sometimes. I think your plan is incredibly sensible. Slow is the best way to do it.

The most recent time I lost weight, after my type 2 diagnosis, I lost the first 35 in ~7 months. Those are the pounds that have stayed off. Then, took 9 months to lose another 15 (mostly in the last 2-3 months when I did the Avon Walk), but quickly gained them back. Now, I tend to stay at that original 35-lb loss, give or take five either way. I guess my body is meant for this weight, no matter how I restrict carbs or how much I exercise. (Unless of course I were to do an event like the Avon Walk again - ha!)

Hey there- You had not posted in quite awhile so it was a bit of a surprise to find new entries....
10 pounds during phase one is something that you really should give yourself a "well done!" for. It is definitely a great start! Just remember that the weight loss will definitely slow with phase two, so don't get discouraged and give up!
I think that the exercise plan you laid out is a good one and based on the reduced caloric intake of healthy foods you can reasonably expect to see the pounds fall off at a slow but steady rate. Best thing that I found on this lifestyle is that you CAN maintain it. That applies to both what you eat AND the exercise program.
By the way, I was a bit flattered to have been a success story. Hang in there buddy!!!
