Apparently, they were going to have Thanksgiving at Sam's house. Haley had suggested the idea because of the space and with Sam's large array of interesting friends, it would just be safer and more comfortable. Sam hadn't really argued that much. There was a holiday coming up, right? Perfect excuse for phonecalls. Natalie was going with that notion.

Balancing the flowers and the basket on his lap (thank goodness for big counter tops), Sam pulled his phone out and put it to his ear.

"Hello?" he asked, trying to shove some flowers together.
