This weekend at the National Cathedral was an event called "Lighting to Unite."

Wow, those are awesome pix!!! Having a toddler means it's really tough to get out after dark, but I think I'm disappointed to miss this spectacle. It's hard to pick a favorite, although the fish and the blue/red one come close. So vivid! I saw some different pix on the local news when they discussed the lighting, but none this dramatic.

I forgot you were a "local"....sorry I didn't remind you! There were a bunch of little kids there and when the blue and orange one came up they all yelled "NEMO!!!!!!" =)
