Oh, this is lovely. There seems to be an undercurrent of such deep emotion in the little, delicate actions, and I love the sense of comfort here, like they really are old comrades.

the mental picture of balthier and fran, hands hovering over chess pieces and stroking their chins - its a favourable one.
i loved the comfortable, familiar vibe from it.
