EDIT: Troy Anthony Davis was executed on Wednesday 21st September 2011, at 11.08pm EDT.

At 7pm he was given a temporary stay of execution whilst officials debated what to do in light of the publicity and anger over his execution. And then they decided to go ahead anyway, to execute - to murder - an innocent man.

I've been following this story, and I'm just baffled. I hope something comes through because it's really not right to risk putting an innocent man to death and I'm not entirely convinced he's guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. My thoughts have been with him and hopefully if enough people speak out, something can be done to stop this. I'm r

I just wrote letters and have reposted on Facebook (since people actually read what I write there!). I hope he is granted clemency.
