I often wonder what it'd be like to be a mangaka... it's a job that appeals to me so much. Drawing and writing comics...too bad it's a profession only in Japan. Not that'd I'd qualify to be one anyway...baha ( Read more... )

Just go for it.

It doesn't matter if you don't qualify. Hetalia was started as a webcomic and turned into a majorly popular anime. People cosplay webcomic characters all the time, even the smaller ones, Japanese or no.

You birth country can't stop you from doing something you want to do. You won't get the title of mangaka, but you could still gain the fame of one. Look at Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, the creators of TMNT. They've created decades of fandom starting with one night of doodling.

I will be your personal promoter to get you more out there with it. I'll make t-shirts and I'll cosplay the characters and I'll do reviews for every chapter/page and I'll do whatever I can to support you in what you want to do because I know it's important to you.

So just do it, no matter what.
