Prequel to ARRIVALS, could be alternatively titled: How Arthur Lost His Leg. Don't worry, it's actually kinda fluffy. And he's really very Southern. Be warned.
Coming Home [3700 words] [fisher'verse] [pre-Arthur/Merlin] [PG-13 for language] [Modern AU]
Everyone's apparently American, Arthur's an ex-Marine and Merlin's a commercial fisherman. Merlin was transplanted from the north to the Deep South during high school, which is when he met Arthur and Morgana. When Arthur joined the Marines and Merlin didn't, they stopped speaking. They hadn't spoken in five years, until now.
{Note: Used to be titled ARRIVALS, now is three times as long and has a new name, but is basically the same story. Except for better.}

Concurrent with ARRIVALS, takes place (you guessed it) back on the boat in Alaska. Little bit of backstory, mostly just Gaius being a badass.

Just post Coming Home, back when it was still ARRIVALS: that 2 hour drive's probably gonna be pretty awkward, huh? {Kinda a 5-things thing, except for how I ended up using like, three of them for the actual (final draft of the) story. So, I guess, guess which three? Or something...}
