What an eventful 2 days, I can't believe that for once the future is not looking so bleak!
First amazing thing that happened was that I got back in touch with a dear childhood friend from Germany whom I have not talked to in probably 7 years or so?

What an interesting day yesterday!
Omw to work I passed the strangest flashing billboard: "Caution, live fire training -- 8am to 5pm -- Joliet FD."
Didn't think much of it. When I passed it, I saw some fire trucks and ppl walking about, but nothing else really.
