It's really a pity Cole is dead.

I love Sarah Shahi, and I was not bored for a second.

While I wanted more Reese and Finch in the ep, I was very happy that she solved all of her own problems. (She could have gotten that syringe out herself, too, obviously. And all those kneecapped team members... phew whut?)

I'll think about it a little more tonight before posting my thoughts. I still don't get how the machine gave Finch Shaw's number. I really need to think about that a little more.

I don't get what's mysterious there, did I miss something? She was going to be killed, so, number.

I don't know. I thought about it and it's okay. I was just confused because the relevant assets are blue, and thus the machine would keep them in a different category. But the longer I thought about it the less sense it made that that would make a difference. So, yeah. I'm okay with it now. :)

Total adoration from me, too. I don't think it was a backdoor pilot, and I am not sure if I want it to be a show. Shaw is much colder than Reese, and she mentioned several times that she has no feelings for other people. She liked one person, and that person is dead. Which is basically exactly what happened to Root.
I don't know what a show about her would be like...

But in spite of that, I enjoyed this so very much, the episode immediately went on the list of my favorite episodes.

Also, Sarah Shahi = always a good thing. I am still hoping she gets another series like Life. She was my one and only girlcrush.

Oh, I'm sure it's not actually a show, but damn it, I want it to be!

Shaw is much colder than Reese, and she mentioned several times that she has no feelings for other people.

I think that's what she likes to tell herself, and I think she's wrong. Look at the way she treated those drug dealers. She was desperate and in pain, and it would have been much easier and safer to shoot them and take their supplies, but she still made sure neither of them got hurt. I think, with her job, she's in the position Reese was in in the CIA, where they have to tell themselves they don't care about people and don't mind killing, because killing's all they get to do. I think if you put her in the position to protect someone instead, she'd quickly find herself caring about them more than she's probably be comfortable with.

But, yeah, she's a slightly darker and colder character than Reese. On the other hand, her partner's warmer and more open than Finch, and I think that could balance out very well in a show.

I'll take seven full seasons about Sam Shaw and miraculously-not-dead Michael Cole being codependent, badass, and extremely bad at feelings, thanks.
I will sign any petition endorsing the production of these seven seasons!!

I'm not kidding, I really do desperately want that spin-off.

*sigh* I wish. Sarah Shahi kicking ass each week might just upset the balance of awesome in the universe. But at least I am fairly certain she will return, based on how much character dev she got and the previous evidence of Zoe, Alicia, and Root as recurring characters. *is already excited*
