A couple people on my flist have been making a commitment to post every day, and it's SO NICE to see life back on my flist. Tumblr's nice for pics and all, but it's just so lonely. I want to talk to people! No one ever has any conversations on tumblr ( Read more... )

Omg who are these people posting everyday and how can I add them to my ist. Congratugoodluck on the new job! I love your doctor-y posts so you'll have to update us when you get the time.

I am currently torrenting Orange Is The New Black and considering getting into Night Vale fandom, alongside rl stuff like studying for the GRE and doing "indicative reading" for my Master's. Yay, summer.

Mostly cesperanza and astolat, for now, but a few other people were thinking about maybe picking up the posting, too. We'll see who sticks with it.

I've been thinking oh making a few more doctor-y posts (At the very least, I should get the "Things to do/watch out for when in a hospital" one out the door), so hopefully now that I'm trying to post more, that's going to happen.

I've listened to three eps of Night Vale so far and liked it okay, although I have to take it about half an ep at a time and then take a break, or it just starts boring me.

Good luck with the GRE! Man, fuck studying, though. What on Earth is "indicative reading"?

I've been working seven days a week -- five in Transylvania, two at the retail hellhole. Transylvania has just given me a full-time post, so I've submitted notice at the retail hole. I'll post on that later, when I'm only working five days and thus have a life again.

(The first of September is not only your first day at the new job, it's my last day at my old one! Holy crap excited!)

Hey, congrats! That's awesome! I'll kind of miss your posts from retail hell, though. Not that Transylvania's not going to provide you with plenty of stories.

It will, but I'm going to have to be very careful about sharing them. At least, I'm going to have to be very vague. As it is, I'm still in "achievement unlocked" mode.

"I just successfully drew from a four hundred pound patient with deep rolling veins. Go me!"

"I just successfully drew an IV drug user. Go me!"

"I just drew from a ten-year-old. Go me!" (I've drawn about a half-dozen now. The kids have all been awesome. It's their mothers that have the panic attacks.)

I'll try to post from Transylvania when I can do it without violating confidentiality rules. If there's one person on my list who'll get it, it's you.

Man, just wait for "Achievement unlocked: Successfully drew blood from a patient two other coworkers had already failed at." Now that was a good one for me. ;)

You should definitely anonymize the hell out of anything you post from Transylvania, though. Thankfully, most crazy patient stories are easily anonymized, although I still mourn the fact that I can't talk about all the crazy shit that happened when [German celebrity] was treated at my hospital.

Good luck on the job change! It'll be exciting!

I am also really excited about more stuff happening on LJ. Thus my attempt at not just posting every day, but also commenting on other people's posts. It will be like old times, soon! Maybe. :)

Commenting! I should get back into that habit. I miss the old times, and yet I'm almost too lazy to do my own part in bringing them back. ;)

Come on, that's yesterday's post, and I'm already really thrilled that I'm so up-to-date on my flist. //)

I am really interested in hearing what you disliked about the show, but we don't have to put it in writing.

The last couple days, I've gone through a horrible downward spiral of rereading all the good fic, reading all the mediocre fic, and reading unspeakable badfic

I know exactly how you feel. I have a similar problem with the Americans. It is such a tiny fandom, so there isn't much fic at all (and most of what exists is actually really good), but I can't keep rereading those 12 fics or I'll go insane. :(

Yeah, you're close to caught up! Actually I'm a little bit behind myself, my flist's been a lot livelier than usual. (No complaint here.)

I might still put up a cranky ranty Americans post, we'll see.
