There are probably 5 or 6 people I follow who are still active here.

I post mostly original weekly poems and book reviews on LJ these days. Incidentally, I got nostalgic for your posts just yesterday.

Lots of people talk about Undertale, but I can't bring myself to sample it. Maybe it's the Earthbound chic; maybe it's the skeletons; maybe it's the knowledge that the game will shame me for taking the easy route even once.

Of the four things you describe, Ori is the one I'm most likely to try. But not very likely, because working at a PC all day doesn't leave me itching for PC games anymore.

I just don't have many interesting things to say anymore that require a lot of text.

I understand your decision on skipping Undertale, but I think for kind people with low self-esteem, its writing and story make it one of the best games out there. You get to witness nerdy boss monsters bonding over bad jokes and other oddball stuff like that. There is a free sample demo on Undertale.com, I think it goes up to the first boss fight, but the game continues to get better further on.

Ori is available on the Xbox One as well as the PC, if you'd rather play it on a console. It's only about 10 hours long (maybe 20 hours the first time if you want to 100% explore everything). There's a 15 minute interactive introduction before your first save point, but after that you can save almost anywhere, so you can play it in very small daily doses if you wish.

Thanks, but I don't own an Xbox One and am not about to get one.
