(no subject)
I've been really frustrated with my art lately. I don't draw as much as I used to because when I do draw, it ends up looking nothing like I wanted it to look. The more I try, the worse it looks until I just say, "Fuck it!" and toss my sketchbook at the wall. You can imagine how annoying this is when I need to work on art for other people.
So yesterday I was bored and felt like drawing something just for me. You may remember one of my WoW characters, Ruevian the Trashy Voodoo Elf Skank. Now you can add Death Knight to the list.
You may be wondering why she doesn't have darker hair. I decided that her rise from death was a bit difficult and her soul decided to play hard to get. To the extent that her hair turned white and she lost more of her mind.
I'm really happy with this one. Outside of a few problems (namely that her right hand can apparently rotate all the way around), I'd say this is the best I've drawn in awhile. And that seems to be the case with my sketching lately. As soon as I color, it all goes to shit.
So I'm hesitant to color this. Maybe instead of cleaning and inking it, I'll just color the sketch directly? I dunno.
Her armor seems rather impractical, but that's Rue for you.
