today after class, Colleen mentioned that follow-up meeting that I knew would be coming... the time for the under/over pool (where t=0 is 12:00:00 am November 1) is now! Place your bets in the comments section. (NB: they will both be out of town 10/23 -10/29.)
I'll come up with some kind of clever prize for the winner.

Is t to be measured in days, hours or minutes in relation to midnight November 1st? This, of course, greatly affects my prediction.

Yes. Any of those things are valid. I think to win, you need to specify date and time, at least to an hour.
