I'm not usually one for mood swings, but damn if I haven't been having a run of them lately. Maybe I'm pregnant or something, I dunno. I've been walking more, which makes me feel great and even a little giddy after they're over. But the more time I'm alone with my thoughts, the more depressed I end up being. That's what I call the doodlebug of despair, and it'll usually happen when you're alone with your thoughts. Walking is an excellent antidote, as you've found, but of course, you cannot do it all day long. I've found that thinking about something outside myself, whether it's other people or events, will help me not get trapped in the downward cycle. Not 100%, but hey.
