Rock'n'Roll Circus review

First impression review of Rock'n'Roll Circus.

01.THE introduction
Not really what I was expecting for the first interlude on the new album. I feel kind of neutral about this one, don't hate it, but don't love it either. It's probably more interesting with the screens at AT10.

02.Microphone
Loved it since the beginning. I think the PV is a bit weird, but the song's really awesome. I don't know why, it just screams pure Ayu and I love to rock with it, you know, in my room when I'm all alone. ;D

03.count down
I love the chorus, once again, reminds me of "old" Ayu. This actually feels like an older song she's done but I can't point which part of it sounds like which songs.

04.Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~
Not much to say about this one. We all heard it on the single, I like it, I think it's great for live concerts, but to me it's a typical Ayu ballad/slow.

05.BALLAD
Love it since the single of course. Great song! I'd love to karaoke this one, not sure why... Lol

06.Last Links
Someone classic Ayu song that starts with just a guitar. For some reason though this one doesn't strike me as anything special, it's just a song. For now, it'll likely grow on me.

07.montage
This interlude reminds me of the old old ooolld shows on TV where it was all in black and white and there was only music. It also reminds me of the old Fantasia by Disney.

08.Don't look back
First time I heard this one, I didn't care for it. The ethnic kind of sound to it didn't really do much for me, but it's growing on me quite fast. After I saw the music video I liked it even more. I especially like it when she goes "Don't look back" in a softer voice. I'm excited to see what the performance for this one is like. The image of vogue from A MUSEUM comes to mind...

09.Jump!
Strong beat/noise with Ayu going "Ooohh" and then "Yeah yeah" and then some male voices repeating "Jump jump jump". This album's interlude just keep making me go "o.o what the hell..." LOL

10.Lady Dynamite
This song, I heard the first time when I watched the PV. I loved the PV but really didn't like the song. I don't know why, because now I can't stop dancing to it. Lol I love it!!

11.Sexy little things
Probably my favorite song of the album. I can't stop listening to it. The music video is weird, but what the hell, it's intriguing! I can't stop listening to this one either.

12.Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~
Aaahhh Sunrise. Good memories are tied to this song, so even though it's nothing special, it's got a soft spot in my heart. Reminds me of Elin and I waiting around in front of Yoyogi and singing the chorus... Haha~

13.meaning of Love
Soft, usual Ayu love song. Makes me want to cry listening to it. Lol So I will probably not be listening to it very often.

14.You were...
Really don't like the PV, blarg. But the song is nice, I really like it. I'm glad she did this for a winter single. It fits great I think.

15.RED LINE ~for TA~ [album version]
Hum. Yes well, one of my favorite Ayu songs ever. And with the new ending for the album, it's even more special. I'm greatful from the bottom of my heart, I'm so glad Ayu wrote this song. I think it didn't only change the life of that TA member, but a lot of other ones. It's great for any kind of rough patches anyone might be going through in life... I try to keep it in mind when I feel down. It makes me cry, but it's a song I'll gladly cry along with.

Overall, I think this is a great album. I love that the rock Ayu is back and as she said, this definitely "screams Ayumi Hamasaki". I think every Ayu fan will be able to greatly enjoy this album, even though it might not bring back the ones we've "lost".
