As you all may know, I'm not into the typical kind of music that most teenagers my age listen to. While others are listening to metal, rock, techno, rap, you'll find me on DC++ downloading The Black Mages II album by Nobuo Uematsu. I'd like to try and get into the stuff my friends listen to, but it all seems so bland and unoriginal...while these

In my opinion, restricting your taste will really limit what you listen to, and you're cutting yourself off from some really good music.

Totally agree with you there. I have some Jrock albums that I looted from China...Dir En Grey, L'Arc En Ciel, Hyde, Gackt.... But don't take their bs to heart - not everyone has the ear for Jap music. consider yourself special ;)

You shouldn't take us so seriously man, we're just teasing. Everyone has a different taste in music, hell, Andy listens to (c)rap, and we poke fun of his white ass as much as we poke at yours. What kind of music you listen to will only make you cool/uncool in emo circles. But you know us man, it doesn't matter.
