Yesterday I felt the wind on my head for the first time in what looks to be almost two years.

That's right, folks, the afro is no more.

I'm working on it...the two digital pics of me in my hairless state are hopefully en route through email. Then I might need some technical assitance in getting them posted here.

Bic, Buzz or Fade? anonymous April 20 2006, 07:25:41 UTC
Ramon, Did you bic, buzz or fade? I assume you do your hair yourself considering the conspicuous swings from fro to fascia. I think I'm actually coming to master the left-ear/right-ear trimmer heads and semi-faded my own hair the other week. I'm surprised guys still go to the barber's at all given that you can buy a trimmer bundled with a variety of heads, pre-packaged with scissors and combs - all for less that $14.99 (The value of one haircut with or without tip in some places). Those $2.99 places are still around but why drive out all the way for what you could do yourself in half an hour at your convenience. For the man with "more style" than the high-and-tight, scissors are pretty nifty instruments.. coupled with a mirror and a little fingerwork you can do a decent job of it yourself - all without the frustrating miscommunication with someone who has his/her own idea of what your hair should look like. God bless bro - JJ =).

Definitely didn't fade...not nearly the skill for that. Just shaved it with clippers. No razor either...too time consuming and you never get it all and you end up cutting yourself several times.

I think "conspicuous swings from fro to fascia" is the most beautiful sentence I've read this week. Almost, anyway.
