The rythms of the trees breathing, the raindrops falling or the soil relaxing in sun or in rain that i love to listen to are doubtlessly far more quiet than these rythms created by humans you speak of. I recently talked with someone about all the sounds you can hear in the woods when you are quiet for a little while... turned out she never noticed them, and that she never lay down on the ground in the woods to listen to what it has to say.

We are all different, and that is good and wonderful.

I hope you enjoy your time in China and negative experiences are rare. I wish you the best... and a happy belated birthday
