I got used to her getting hungry in less than a week when I was feeding mice and figured on it being more like a week and a half with rats (she did take her second rat only a week after eating the first) but now ( Read more... )

I'm glad this guy isn't friendly. I don't want another pet.

Just a note, peanut butter's not healthy for rats. Neither is gatordate, far as I know. A bowl of water'll work just fine for it, if you don't have one of those hanging bottles handy.

Oh I was told to give both of those things by rat owners. :P I've never had one so I had to take advice from other people. Kinda sucks that I was given bad advice...Sigh. Okay, I'll replace the Gatorade with water and stop giving the peanut butter.

*chuckles* It's cool, it's just that in most of the stuff I've read peanut butter can be too fattening for 'em, and isn't all that healthy. And if you're worried about it not getting enough liquid I've heard of some people using that stuff they give to kids, pedialyte? Or however it's spelled.

The boiled egg's slightly fatty, but a good source of protein for the little furball. A bit of egg won't hurt him, and they usually love it.
