As you may or may not know, we lost my Japanese firebelly newt, Gimble, last March. He was at least nine years old (dunno how old he was when I got him but he was an adult). Yay, thanks! 8) I'm all impatient now. Yeah his tank is all set with a half-log thing but as I don't even have the snake yet and don't know how big he will be (I should be getting one about a year old or so, don't want a hatchling, too much risk it won't eat) I hope the half-log isn't too big. It's actually the biggest that will fit in the tank, but I don't want him to feel insecure by being in something too large.

I really do want to feed frozen food. The guy at the reptile store had a point though, he said, let the poor snake hunt live food, its one of the only things that give them excitement. I think that's a valid argument, but I still don't want to risk the snake getting chewed on.
