Here it was. This was what he'd been waiting all week for. Or, to be fair, this was what he'd been waiting quite a few weeks for...
Every time before, he'd talked himself out of following through, but he was finally going to say something. He was ready for this, really, he was... He was not scared...just...slightly nervous...He could feel all the self confidence he'd built up over the years drain out of him in one fell swoop.
It wasn't every day Dr. Spencer Reid, youngest member of the BAU, genius extraordinaire, decided he wanted his teammates to meet his girlfriend,let alone show them exactly what his life consisted of outside the job. They all knew he had one, a girlfriend that is. They had commented on how he'd changed; not just his clothing, but his confidence and the fact that he wasnt as clueless socially as he used to be.
They had all mentioned at one point or another over the last year that they would like to meet Juliet, but honestly, he was glad he had the time to just be with her without subjecting her to their inspection. He groaned inwardly, they were profilers, they wouldn't be able to stop themselves from picking her apart. He could only hope they didnt end up driving her crazy by the time they were done.
Thank God he hadn't told them anything useful about her except her first name. He did not need them pestering Garcia to do a full in depth background check on her.

The team had just wrapped up a case and were getting their things ready to disembark the jet. He could hear Morgan talking to the ladies about their plans for the night. They had the next few days off and he obviously planned on going out once his report was complete and submitted.
"Pretty Boy. What about you, what are you up to tonight? Going to visit your fair Juliet?" asked the older profiler, with a definate leer, squiggling his eyebrows up and down.
Spencer hesitated before turning and clearing his throat loudly, waiting for his teammates' attention.
"Well, there's this place, Collective, that hosts Mash Up on Thursday nights," he looked around at them all, hesitated again, then straightened to his full height. "I'm planning on going tonight, if anyone wants to join me..."
He waited with his hands gripping his satchel, as his teammates boggled at him. He had never actually asked them to hang out before, it was usually the other way around with one or more of his team asking HIM to hang out after work. Now here he was, practically begging them with puppy dog eyes to go out with him that night.
Prentiss was the first to concede with a "Yeah, sounds good, Reid. I'm in."
"I, um, I'll be going right after I submit my report, but I'll text you the address..." he said as he hurried off the jet.
Everyone knew from experience that he would be gone from the office at least a couple of hours before they were done, he always was.
