Miss seeing people so Alex and I are thinking of throwing a memorial day weekend bbque, though we are getting older and I am getting heavier so it will probably only be a one day event

I say why not grab some staples (hot dogs, hamburgers) and let people bring in the extra fun stuff? I know Mark likes trying to bring a new, different kind of meat to BBQs, and people could also do salads, sides, pastas, beer, whatever. It's too expensive for you guys to do all the food. I think whatever festivities you organize, people will run with it :)

We'd go on any day you hosted it over the weekend. I believe I have that Monday off, but I don't know if Mark does, though.

we'll probably have the kids, so as long as it's a day thing i'm pretty sure we can all be there :) any day is fine and I think it's completely fair to make it a potluck

Just let me know if a day works better for you so I can schedule ours around it. We usually do the actual Memorial Day in the afternoon in case there's a parade in the morning but we could move ours to Sunday if you wanted to do Monday.
