With all due respect.

I have had and heard nothing bad luck with Winchester Hospital. When we were there for 3 days with Chloe the staff was very dismissive and at times rude. Getting any information was like pulling teeth, and all in all was extremely unprofessional.

Nicole's friend (also named Nicole) had a very similar experience.

If you do decide to use Winchester I wish you the best of luck but if it were me, I would never step foot inside that hospital again.

We delivered at Beth Israel which was fantastic. Although not ideal for you Exeter NH was also a fantastic hospital.

Good luck!

Thanks for the good luck. We are going to try Winchester, I am hopeful and the staff etc seemed great and we had a returning mom on the tour who gave rave reviews. So we shall see.
Hugs.

Different departments are different. For instance I love the ER at BMC but the rest of the hospital could burn down and I would cheer while the nurses screamed.

If you like Winchester, go with it. It is close, the maternity dept. has a good rep. and I know they will send you out if you need elsewhere. Deus forbid anything goes wrong, Children's team is a hop skip and a jump away.

Children's hospital and Brigham and Womens is connected to them in the case of severe needs or pre-mature birth. I am glad they are offiliated with Children's as it is a great place.
Thanks

Speaking as a former employee, sure, there's a huge chunk of Winchester Hospital that could definitely use improvement - like the ER, for instance. Luckily for you, Crystal, the maternity ward is not one of them. Everyone I've known to deliver there LOVED it. During a snowstorm, I even had a room up on that floor to myself so I wouldn't have to drive to New Hampshire. The staff in that department is always wonderful, especially Fran - she's my favorite.
