Tired and feeling a bi overwhelmed, but luckily I have some great family helping. My mom, Alex's mom, etc. I just wish I could figure Josh's complaints out quickly so he does not have to scream at me for a while to know what he needs. You will. Keep listening. You have a lot to learn from each other.

C-sections are absolutely not easy. There's a lot of healing happening on the inside bits of silly putty*.

*I have a good friend who dislikes the 'meat' of personal anatomy and has decided that all the inside bits are really silly putty, that's the pink parts. I rather like the image. I still don't think they'll transfer comics the right way, though.

Why does everyone say that about c-sections? "Not being so bad" .. Honey, they CUT OPEN YOUR ABDOMEN! Yeah, it's that bad! :( Do not feel bad for being tired and sore - you basically got eviscerated. If they hadn't pulled a baby out of you, if you'd been in a car accident or something and had a penetrating abdominal wound, you'd have been in the hospital for a week. It pisses me off that the insurance companies have made it seem like a C-section is something easily recovered from and not, y'know, major abdominal surgery.

It is going to take months for you to recover fully. This is normal. You will be sore and exhausted because not only are you breastfeeding, your body is trying to heal itself and that's very, very tiring. You're actually doing better than some other C-section women I know, but don't push yourself.
