Plants eat meat so why can't I?

I picked up 2 venus flytrap plants at the local Meijer the other night. I'm really excited because both of them are absolutely covered with flytraps. The first couple of days they hadn't caught any flies so I killed a moth and a fly and fed each of them. Today I found a dead fly and an ant and gave each of them one. tips: dont feed it bugs, it weakens the plant plus itshould get enough nutrients from the soil. (thats what ive heard anyways)
second: they need moist humid atmospheres, maybe make a bottle garden for it? unsure about sunlight, probably no direct light due to them getting nutritions from insects. id reccomend not letting the soil dry out between waterings.
do a search for care online. :D
