(FYI, I really really need to finish my English summer assignment. Someone please bug me about that, because I'm being my usual procrastinator self and cannot help it.)

So.... we have a wolf pup now. His name is Ritter. =) Named after the late John Ritter, of course ( Read more... )

He's quite adorable, I like the pictures too.

There's a law in this state anyway that regulates how much wolf your dog can have in its genetic make up, and I think one has to have a permit in order to have a full-blown wolf. Is that the same in your state? (I don't know where you live) I think he'll be fun to train, they're very smart as you know.

I may work with some pretty crezzy animals, but I think I'll stick to labs for pet dogs. Why? Cuz they're big marshmallows. :)

Even the man who gave us Ritter said to tell the vets he's a mix; we don't know what he is. And that's what my mom planned to do. "Who's gonna know?" she said. But I looked it up, and in the state of Virginia a person should have a permit to own a wolf hybrid. I tried convincing my mom that it was safer to do the legal thing and buy the permit for Ritter. But at the same time.... if pit bulls and dalmations aren't allowed, how would the management react to a wolf?...

Ritter's adorable, Okibi; I'd be terribly jealous, I'm afraid, but then I remember that my Manda-dog wouldn't appreciate another puppy anyway - so I'll just be happy for you. ^_^ Owning a dog with so much wolf in him is definitely very neat!

A pity that he doesn't have the erect ears - though I think he looks actually very sweet with floppy ears in the picture where he's looking at the camera. And I love the big paws... ^_^

Squee!

He's gonna be a handful, but... yeah. He's adorable. =P

Well, puppies are always a handful - even if they're pure bred. ;D
