ooh! Leaf! I have no idea when that will get to Canada, but we've always said we wouldn't get a car until we had kids, which itself isn't a given.

I assume since you didn't elaborate that the buyout is considered a good thing. Good for Earl!

Yup, it is a good thing; more money. (It was a startup, and they got bought out for OMG lots of money.) He's a little discombobulated at going from big company, to startup, right back to big company, but so it goes. His job and job location are the same (I was really worried about it moving).

Thanks! I need to comment on your journal; you are constantly in my thoughts. People who are trying to have kids and having problems I find the most heartbreaking thing; calling it "an emotional roller coaster" doesn't even start to cover it. (People who abandon/mistreat pets I find the most heartbreaking and despicable thing.) I always wish i could somehow help, but there's not much real i can do (too old for egg donation and surrogacy, ignoring other issues).
