Finished the damned degree, but still things are as they were before I started. Only I get better ideas because of the damned thing.
BTW, I helped translate for a japanese taxpayer... very simple sentence... she was out of her mind with glee as was my coworker because she'd spent 45 minutes on a call that could have been over in less than 5 minutes but the lady understood and spoke very little english and even though we speak both english and spanish we don't deal japanese... I got the message, translated it fairly well I guess, and made sure to arrange it correctly and helped my friend read the romaji... it was good enough. The lady was happy because we spoke japanese to her... so all was good and fun as hell for me! My bored brain cells had a blast!!
I tried for a translator position... but was denied because I have no time in grade... not my qualifications... but no time in grade... meaning I've been all my life a GS 5, so I can not ask for a 9... which only a Master Degree or the experience can attain... I have the degree... but not the time... but I have the experience... only not within the service... they won't let me. Still no more griping about stupid stuff, ne? It was fun!
