Why do they blank it out, anyway? WHY?! If you're taking enough of a step to RP mansex, what's the big deal about saying cock?!
It's not even that. There are LOTS of other terms that can be used and one still wouldn't have to blank it out. (And no I'm not talking about "badger" here. XD; ) A lot of it depends on personal preference for the words, but to not use any of the other possible words...
I happen to write and RP smut, and I don't like using the word 'cock' because that *is* my preference. Have no problem reading it in other people's stuff, but I just don't like it in my own. However, I also have gotten enough feedback to realize that the words I use instead work perfectly well, and Teh Mansex was not inhibited by the lack of 'cock.'
.....*blinks at what she just wrote* WOW that sounds bizarre when you read it wrong... O.o;;;
shaft, manhood, throbbing flesh, groin, bulge (when pants are still on), hardness...
Those are the words I can think of off the top of my head. Sometimes when you word a sentence a certain way there's no need to have even a substitute word.
For example (from a Saiyuki rp that I'm in right now):
Goku: ::Responding to the kiss in a likewise gentle fashion, Goku relaxes into their new position. He can already feel his hands start to wander on their own accord - the one in Sanzo's hair is weaving through the strands again and bring the man closer while the one on his shoulder is quickly making it's way to Sanzo's back. He sighs into Sanzo's mouth in another gesture of relaxation, and then nonchalantly lifts one of his thighs to brush between Sanzo's legs.::
Sometimes, I wish there was a loophole in the community rules that would allow me to give them the boot solely because of things like that, and other times...I'm glad they're there for the amusement.
