Ycon 2015

So, I've been going to Ycon for... oh, I don't know, over ten years now, give or take about two of the cons (one year I think there was either a repeat guest or one I was fine not seeing, and of course I skipped the LA con). Missed the Nitta year, much to my regret. I actually liked last year, it was small but it was nice to see all the web comic

Sorry to hear that Ycon was such a disappointment.
The dealer's room alone would have been enough to upset me.
Thank goodness for friends and good places to visit!

Yeah, hanging out w/ Mac and E was a lot of fun. Did get some goodies, but obviously for a much better dealer's room, it'll be sticking w/ Acen and other cons (even if we have to line up really early for the panels, at least they HAVE panels). Even the dealers room here at Tekko is tons better! And of course we have a great time in SF and Sonoma, so it was nice to get the con rate for the hotel.

Oh that really sucks. :( At least you got to see Mac, but how disappointing. I've always wanted to go to Ycon--it's been on my bucket list for years. Guess that was a bygone thing. (I can't afford SF prices right now.) Maybe I'll just have to make a special pilgrimmage to Kinukuniya and SF on its own. Boo.

Can only hope that they get enough feedback that they make great efforts to improve for next year - they had some new people come in this year so it's good that people are still interested in the con. But yeah, I think Mac and I won't go back unless we hear that they did improve some things (or give the East Coast one a try).

When the dealer's room is a bust, that is a deal breaker for me with con's to be honest. Too bad it was such a disappointment, but yay for hanging with friends! :D

Yah, we really go to some cons (like Acen, which can be insane) because of the dealer's room. I don't mind having new stuff in the room, but there was so little in that room that I had any interest in/wanted to spend any money on.

What a disappointment. My friend and I went to Supanova over here and were a bit disappointed with it (not as good as WAICON) but we dressed up and had a good time. We're thinking of going to the US in a couple of years to go to ComicCon - just travelling halfway around the world is sooo expensive!

You thinking SD ComicCon? From everything I've heard, it's an amazing (and crazy) con to attend! Though there are others in various states as well. I keep offering to help out a friend who goes by being a 'booth babe' LOL.
