EREBUS ON THE CUSP OF DAWN. Duh.
crapdealer 's masterpiece, in my opinion. Of course, all her stuff is awesome... But there has never been another time when I literally couldn't stop reading a fic, and printed it out so that I could read it on the way to Uni, during all my classes in Uni, and on the way home.
The angst. OMG, the delicious ANGST!! It's

Or is there something like that?? =D (I know I have my archive over at FF, but I don't think anyone has ever looked at it =D)
Anyway. I wish there was a way to help good fics get attention. ... Although, if I think about Twilight... We would have turn people SMART before we could achieve that. Ughh.
(Sorry if you like Twilight and I insulted you...)

A community like that sounds like a good idea, but fandom people might take even that overboard. Personally the idea of super-strict moderation turns me off faster than the amount of badfics out there.

Guhh. You are right. The bad thing is, everybody likes different things. Some people obsess over characterization (yeah, like me) while others like a good plot, while others like clear grammar, and once again others like good action scenes... There's no making everybody happy. :'(

I reckon it's only now that I truly understood how much Erebus had affected you (damn, you're the first person I know who's done that for my fic!). No words could describe just how bloody pleased and flattered and honored I am. Thank you thank you very much, it's such a great thing to hear. Really bloody honestly.
I'm sorry she's gotten discouraged too. :/ Good writers aren't easy to come by as a lot of people seem to think - while everyone could write, and write well, not everyone could touch someone with written words.
(And until you mentioned that, I didn't realize I'm doing the same - read fanfics irregularly, is what I mean. I used to read a lot to the point that the sun's rising behind me, but now I even forget to read one)
Maybe there's just an overall... lack of enthusiasm, or something? I can't even really blame that because I think new writers for the fandom are cropping up everyday, each more eager than the next. I mean, really, anyone could write. >.>;; Just not that bloody effectively well. <.(Or maybe ( ... )

Hee. And you did it well too. :D
That's right too - I've been initially surprised that a lot of the good writers of the fandom are in their last years of high school, or are already in college, or are already working; growing up has a great impact (damn growing up...) and while others are lying low, or moving on, the ones who have more time (like, the younger people -_-") are moving in.
Know what? I actually looked back at the nomination page and clicked one that sounded familiar to me but I wasn't so sure of... and I was, well, kinda surprised too. >.>;; It wasn't even funny. <.<;; Urgh, I know this sounds horrible but heck, it had no business being there where there were gold mines out there. And so a couple I didn't have to click the link of. -_ ( ... )
