Naruto Chapter 488
I have a feeling Sasuke is not as crazy and manipulated as everyone thinks he is.
Except Naruto.
I'm trying not to read anything into it, but the whole "I know everything about you after we exchanged one blow" and all the hinthints there - I feel like Naruto somehow figured out Sasuke's playing a part. Not a part he SHOULD be playing, but he wouldn't really kill Naruto and destroy Konoha.
This chapter kind of made me realize that. Before, I have been too angry about the bad mush and all, but the newest hints in this chapter (Naruto saying only he could fight Sasuke, and the others should understand, but not really giving a reason) - it was all because he knew that Sasuke would kill the others, because they would be in the way of him getting his revenge or whatever - but Naruto could support him.
This way, nobody would lose, except for Madara. If you think logically, it was Madara's fault that the Uchiha clan was massacred. Sasuke might be going after him - but knowing he's not strong enough, he's playing a part.
Sacrificing everything to get there. Even Karin, Sakura, Itachi's eyes.
Naruto, however, trust himself to be able to withstand Sasuke's power, and so, only he should fight, when the time comes.
Uugh. I feel like I couldn't express how I feel well enough. Eh, well.
