I want to talk about life, about death, about consciousness and spirituality, when all people seem to want to discuss is their jobs and their clothes and other meaningless SHIT. And then when I do

I suspect there may have been a reason for your missed opportunity with the couple, and I also feel that you will meet them at some time in the future. Somewhere that you will feel more comfortable speaking with them. If not them, then someone else of similar mind/inclination - you are far from alone, honey. I know a great many people who feel as you do... welcome to most of the pagan community lol!

I understand where you're coming from. I've only had one person that I could discuss those topics with and unfortunately we don't talk anymore but if I tried to talk about that with anyone else but him they would look at me like I'm a freak and tell me about their day. Now I talk more than I listen because I like to hear myself think and have all my thoughts dissected, analyzed and explained. Most of the time I don't really care if the other person is listening to me.
