Character Name: Azusa Nakano
Character Series: K-ON!
Character Age: 17ish
Background: Wiki
Personality: Azusa is, at the base of it all, a quiet girl. She isn't very upfront about things unless it bothers her a lot, and even then it takes her a lot of thought to say something. It's easier for her to watch people than throw herself into the party, but she has her moments of courage. That led her to joining the music club in the first place; she was captivated by their performance, and joined in a somewhat starstruck state of mind.

However, the laziness of the club often leaves her conflicted; she grew up in a household of musicians, and dedicated herself to practicing because of it, but the club's mentality is so different. They prefer their sweets and "training camps" to actual practice, which leads Azusa to lash out at them (with as much rage as such a shy girl can have). Her anger is always short-lived, and she's calmed by the realisation that the close bond the girls have was the reason she wanted to join the club... And the sweets shoved in her mouth. She likes those too.

She thinks very highly of her elders, even if just by a year (as in the case of the rest of the Light Music Club). She refers to all of her band mates as senpai, and even though they all call their teacher Sawa-chan, she continues to call her sensei. This doesn't mean that she's distanced from them as friends, she's just a bit more of a stickler for tradition and being "proper".

Azusa is far from a shy person, despite being so quiet. Her quietness stems from a slight anxiousness; she's always caught up with how people will perceive her actions, especially with people she isn't as comfortable with. As she warms up, she becomes more outgoing and forgets her worries, though they occasionally pop up when she does something embarrassing (Such as her observation that Mio didn't eat many sweets, wondering if it was because she didn't like them. She stepped on the landmine that is a girl's weight.)

When Azusa's worked up, it takes surprisingly little to calm her down; the club members frequently shove a sweet in her mouth when she's in a bad mood, and Yui's hugs/tackles cause her to melt without fail. This is probably because her anger is so shallow, and is more extreme frustration than actually being mad. Azusa doesn't like the conflict she causes when she tries to make things her way, as it always leads to the rest of the band awkwardly scooting around offending her. She succumbs to just accepting things as they are for the sake of dissolving the tension, relieved to have the light-hearted nature of the club back again.

Abilities: Super tanning skin and rocking guitar skills?
